Becker Hospital Review has listed iHealthHome on its list of 250+ Telehealth companies to know (https://www.beckershospitalreview.com/lists/250-telehealth-companies-to-know-2018.html). The list includes vendors that provide solutions that range from video conferencing and connection, to wearable data gathering and reporting technologies and platforms. Becker’s Healthcare is the leading source of cutting-edge business and legal information for healthcare industry leaders.
“We’re so happy to be noticed by Beckers’, a key influencer in healthcare,” said Dew-Anne Langcaon, Chief Executive Officer and Founder of iHealthHome. “When we began in 2009, we focused purely as an in-home monitoring and communications system for professional caregivers. Today the company has truly grown and evolved that we serve the increasingly important care management market. In a time where healthcare silos are being broken down, patients are having more difficulty navigating a complicated continuum of care. We believe that our telehealth solutions, combined with our innovative and client-centric care management software helps set up professional care givers and care managers for success.”
Telehealth has received notable media coverage in recent years, especially with the 21st Century Cures Act being enacted in 2016. As recently as July 2018, the Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS) proposed changes to the Home Health Prospective Payment System (PPS) so that home health agencies can include the cost of remote patient monitoring on the Medicare cost report form. The increasing popularity of telehealth is based on the ability to generate reliable data through telehealth devices, which when combined with machine learning and artificial intelligence, enables providers and payers to offer care to improve outcomes to a larger population with a higher efficiency and a lower cost.
